Door Rubber Problems
Dumb question: I want to keep my door weather seal from falling off, but have no idea what if any adhesive I should use. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Re: Door Rubber Problems
I use 3M weatherstrip adhesive. Be careful using it as its kind of runny and if you use too much it gets everywhere and it shows up because its yellow

Re: Door Rubber Problems
It comes in black also and apply it the way the directions say.

Re: Door Rubber Problems
Use some masking tape to mask off the areas you DONT want adhesive...I did that on mine the second time as no matter how hard you try, that adhesive gets on something you don't want it to get on...

Re: Door Rubber Problems
Picked up the adhesive last night. Gonna give it a shot this weekend. I was thinking I'd put a bead of adhesive into the crease in the rubber itself and then slide it on. Is this a good approach? Thanks.

Re: Door Rubber Problems
Its what I did when I did my door gaskets a few weeks ago. I used the black 3m weatherstrip adhesive. Placed a nice bead inside the rubber and then ran it around the door frame. Had to go back and spot hit a few areas, then I taped the whole door every foot or so, little more in the corners and bends and let it sit overnight. Has held good for me.
