Re: New gas tank on the 66

Can you provide any details? What year Camaro tank? What sending unit did you use? Any mods required to the tank?

Also, did you flip the bumper?

I am looking to do this same tank setup on my 66.

Re: New gas tank on the 66

The bumper is a 67 with 67 long bed bumper brackets.
The tank is a 1969 camaro.
The license plate holder is from a 94 caprice.
The tank is supported by 2 pieces of 2x3 tube stock & 1 piece 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 angle stock.
The sending unit is 1969 camaro.
I hope this helps there is another post from another member that developed this idea I just copied it from him. I can't remember his name I just remembered seeing it last year & now copied it.
Good luck I hope this helps you to.

Re: New gas tank on the 66

Nice job!
I'm wondering if you used a 64-66 bumper could you raise the tank some. Then use a flip down license plate.
