Rear Disc for 4x4

Looking for Ideal or someone that has put disc brakes on rear of a 1969 4x4 K-10 6lug. Been looking and ones I have found axles were changed to five lug or 90's model rear end installed. Then would I need to upgrade the front with the rear?

Re: Rear Disc for 4x4

I just finished up a rear disk conversion on my 1970 4x4 six lug. Wasn't cheap I bought the complete kit from Travis at AZ Properformance. Easy to install, high quality.

Re: Rear Disc for 4x4

75-85% of braking is done by the front so disk in front and drum in rear is effective tile the drums get wet or fade due to heat. Rear brakes add feel and not much else.
Of course if its a cosmetic thing, that's different.

They are more then looks when slowing 5000lbs at over 100mph. I run a little fast at times and eventually want to run a 9.99 in a quarter
