'63 cab to '84 frame swap???
Alright so I'm gettin ready to drag my 63 bbw out of its wooded grave. I already have a 84 C-10 in the back yard that semi runs. And I have the cab and front sheet metal sold already. So. Has anyone ever put a 60's cab on a frame that model? On a 1-10 scale how hard is it and what am I looking at??
Thanks!

Re: '63 cab to '84 frame swap???
It would be much easier to swap the suspension and drive train from the 84 to the 63 than to do the frame swap. There are lots of examples on here of how to do it. Swapping the front crossmember takes about 14 bolts, drill a couple of holes and an adapter plate for the steering box. The rear axle will need new mounting pads.

Re: '63 cab to '84 frame swap???
I swear this topic gets asked every other day and has been covered a thousand times. Can it be done, Yes. Is it more work than just swapping the front crossmember, you bet! Does swapping the 84 frame make a c10 look like a stock k10 height wise, yep! Pulling the motor/trans out of the 84 with no sheetmetal should only take 15min.
