hi has anyone got any tips on how to repair a cracked steering wheel and what to use ie epoxy putty

I use PC-7 two-part epoxy that, when mixed correctly, sets up to be the same hardness as the original steering wheel material. I would recommend using a small die grinder to make a V-channel in the crack all the way down to the steel. I recently reduced the diameter of my steering wheel and had to do a few repairs to some cracks on the lower ring and around the hub at the same time:

That's the same epoxy theastronaut recommends/used when cutting down his wheel.
