american autowire question
I bought the American autowire kit #510089. has anyone used this kit on a stepside? it looks like the rear wiring harness for taillights has the plugs for a fleetside. I don't want to open it to find out because I will probably try to sell it . all I really need is the rear light harness . I sold the truck I originally bought it for. the plug in to taillights does not look right for a stepside. THANKS

subscribed.
I haven't opened mine yet, but I guess we will find out once I get everything primed up and start wiring. I didn't know the connectors were different.

Call Donny at American Autowire ext. #216. He's a great great guy and will tell you what you need to know, and may even send you the parts you need.

Re: american autowire question
I have this kit installed on my stepside. I'm switching to a fleetside sometime down the road and will use the supplied taillight harness when I do. Ken my installer made the light harness for the stepside. The instruction included in the kit shows you how to do it. Here is a picture of my taillight wiring.

Re: american autowire question
that is what I needed to know.if I cannot find just the rear harness I will open the kit. hate to break it open just for rear harness. guess I could save the kit for future use but it cost about $500. think I could get most of that back for other stuff I need.THANKS
