1951 Chassis Question
I am taking my 1951 3100 apart in prep for reassembling on a new TCI chassis. After I pulled the bed off, I see two u-channels running side-to-side on the front and rear of the last rear crossmember. (see arrows on pic) I didn't see any connection to the bed so if I'm selling the chassis, do these go with it as part of the frame or do I need them on the new chassis for the bed mount? Yes, one of them is bent but doesn't change the question.
Thanks! Scott |

Re: 1951 Chassis Question
That makes sense. Of course, I have no idea if I need those with the TCI chassis and they suggest you mount the gas tank in that rear space. Not sure what to do for a spare then...

Re: 1951 Chassis Question
The two channels offer no structural support they only keep the tire from tilting down one way or the other so removing them isn't an iusse

Re: 1951 Chassis Question
Do you need one, I have no use for it!
