Turbo 350 to lq4
I'm getting a lot of different answers here. Has anybody done this with first hand experience? My motor is a 99 lq4 and I'm putting a turbo 350 behind it. I've been told the 99 & 00 motors already have a spacer built in from the factory so I won't need a spacer. I just need to open up the converter bolt holes a bit and everything should bolt up. Thank you.

Re: Turbo 350 to lq4
aod92, I haven't tried it, but the extra .5 of an inch or so comes from the crankshaft (1999 & 2000). I used the spacer for my th400 on my 2004 lq4, to have the torque converter nose go up into the spacer's snout, that's mounted to the crankshaft on 2001+ engines. I hope this info helps.
