Best brand/source of sheet metal patch panels
Good morning;
I have a 1967 c 10 in need of some metal repair on the usual places on the front fenders, the bottom front corners and the bottom near the door. My question is, which aftermarket company produces the best patch panels for these trucks? I'd like to only do this once! Thanks for any info or feedback you can provide. |

Normally I would have said AMD, but it seems that they are out of a lot of the parts for our trucks. Not sure what is going on there. I just ordered a bunch of stuff from TABCO and so far I am pretty pleased with the fitment.

They give multiple sources for the same part along with their prices...really helps if you're on a budget. Brands are Goodmark, Auto Metal Direct, Sherman, Tri Plus. I've had good luck with AMD and Tri Plus; not so much with Sherman. |

Re: Best brand/source of sheet metal patch panels
I have really liked Top Banana they have really good prices and they sell a cab Kit that will fix about 40% of the rust they have it includes inner rocker with a good floor section outer rockers and pillars front and rear. I cant for the life of me however understand why they don't have footwells with them in the kit. If your changing all of the other you most likely need foot wells. I have 5 trucks to build this body style and 4 of them at least will be completely fixed by the $160 [plus 28 for footwells] kit.
I have gotten parts from them super fast as well. Jim |
