Price to replace bushings and ball joints
I have all new moog ball joints and control arm bushings. Control arms are off the truck. I thought I could replace them but looks like a good opportunity for me to mess something up. What would be a reasonable price on getting it done.

Re: Price to replace bushings and ball joints
Most shops now days charge anywhere from $75-$90 on average. Since you have them off, I don't see it taking more than an hour with proper tools.

Re: Price to replace bushings and ball joints
People have paid more, but it really shouldn't cost more than what a shop charges for an hour of time

Re: Price to replace bushings and ball joints
For future reference, you can buy complete control arms from Moog with bushings and ball joint for about $75. Dormans are even cheaper.

Re: Price to replace bushings and ball joints
RockAuto (Moog-$68) or Amazon (Dorman-$56) are a few I believe
Amazon.com: Dorman 520-181 Control Arm: Automotive

Re: Price to replace bushings and ball joints
That's what I intended to do but rockauto only had the upper control arms.

Re: Price to replace bushings and ball joints
Generally the aftermarket stamped arms seem to be less rigid.

Re: Price to replace bushings and ball joints
I don't know about Moog, but I got a Raybestos upper control arm assembly and it came without the keyhole slot for the brake line bracket. i wanted AC Delco but it was about 3 times the cost. This was for a C20, so I think more expensive than a C10.
