Bought my fathers sub. he special ordered it from the factory 1990 3/4 ton fully loaded 14 bolt full float rear and a d60 front 4.56s dual batteries front buckets heavy duty radiator/tow package. Wasn't gonna let that get away. So far I took the posi out of the rear and just went with an open and put an arb in the front with a 4'' lift. Added some alum rims with a set of 285/75r16s. A lot of people can't believe it has a 60f.

Its a goldmine of good parts... the blue captains chairs, console, all the glass, the 2 front power doors with pl/pw/pm, the serpentine 454, the rear full floater, any blue interior trim I could possibly want.... the the 91 front clip. the blue seatbelts,.. all that stuff I want/need... and its all in XLNT condition.. not to mention the rest of the stuff that I can sell.. its a parts seekers dream. But- im going to drive it for a while..

This use to be My Dailt Driver. I was on the way home from working at a Local Truck parts shop in kinda a hurry and went to pass a guy. He turned in front of me into his driveway. I totaled the old Burb bent the frame.... Yep not repairable.

Cool, I finally fit in again.
Gotta 1986 Suburban Silverado 350/700R4 with towing package. In great shape minus a run-on and kickdown cable problem I've been having lately. I'll post a pic tomorrow as I just waxed it!

Guess I may as well join in the fun. Family rig is a 1991 Sub 4WD 1/2 ton. 350 TBI. Loaded to the hilt. Blue with custom body stripping with blue interior. Front captain's reclining buckets, standard center seat and 3rd seat. All cloth interior, no leather for me. Dual A/C, rear heat, tinted side glass including front driver's and passenger's window's including the wings (after market tint but nice) cruise, p/w, p/l, p/b, tilt, am/fm cassette, 4-core rad. my son and I installed, under- hood corded light (like that), roof rack, tow hooks, oil cooler, 700 R-4, receiver hitch, running boards, ralley wheels , 31 x 10.50's , custom interior overhead console with lighting, power mirrors, barn doors, custom center console. Will try and post some pics some time. Raining at the moment and the 'Burb needs a good bath. Gets maybe a solid 15-16 mpg but damn comfortable to drive.

Hi ,
I traded a while ago my 1979 Yamaha XS 650 SE for a 1987 Burb , 6.2 Diesel ( shot !) , 700R4 , 2WD , full electric , dual A/C ( shot !) , both front doors in bad shape ( corroded ) , grey cloth interior & three benches , two tone ( blue ) , 10 bolts RR axle As my 1979 C10 is beyond repair , it will serve as a donor for this Burb. The 6.2 / TH700 combo is already pulled out of the Burb I'm now in the process of pulling out the C10 engine & tranny ( 350 Olds engine / TH400 ) to be put in the Burb. Once the 6.2 / TH700R4 are sold , I'll have some cash to handle the body , I have some rust spots everywhere... I could have use the Burb to fix the pick-up , but I need a more comfy vehicle , & I have to travel more than often with my Girl friend & my two kids But I already told this on the 73-87 pick-up message board I have no pic's for the moment but it will come... Anyway , I prefer the look of a burb than the look of a Pick-up The Baron

I bought a 85 Chevy 4x4 burb w/barn doors. In the process of swapping out the 350 and puttin in a 396 BB for more power It's not much to look at, no major dents or rust just the old two tone brown paint, but it has no computer stuff Just love these older burbs for their size and ease of fixin.

I recently purchased a '85 Suburban. I've had over a dozen 1967-1986 Chevy pickups over the years. When I saw this 'burb with a for sale sign I just had to check it out. This thing is great. It rides like a dream. I can pack up all the grand kids with the 3 seats or remove the rear and haul a full sheet of plywood. This was owned by a local mechanic. It's in great shape mechanically. The body is rust free since it's been in Alabama all it's life. The interior is perfect. It's the two tone blue and silver. It has the fiberglass rinning boards that go up over the wheel wells.
The other day I was in a small town and noticed another '85 Suburban. It was at a funeral home. The top had black vinal and it covered the rear windows. I'm not into hearses but that thing was sharp. Nice to see there are others that appreciate these cowboy Cadillacs.

I don't have a picture but mine is a 78 2wd with a 350. It is painted gold and cardinal with iowa state and cyclones painted on either sides and "nebraska sucks" painted on the back. I was drunk when I did the paint job so nebraska is spelt wrong. ha ha
