Need advice on Restoring Guage Cluster 63'

Just got a 63' Guage cluster that's warning lights. I'm trying to keep my truck original but still functional to modern specs. Anyways, I want to restore this cluster, mainly my question is about the fuel guage, is there any way to restore these at home, or do I have to send it off somewhere to a professional? Also my second question about the lens, I wish I could find a glass replacement, is there any way to clean these plastic lenses up and make them look brand new? Thanks!

The fuel gauge you can check with a volt meter and see if it is good. You can then carefully clean it. I use air and electronic parts cleaner if needed. The lens can be cleaned on the gauge side with a good car wax. Just do not rub on the lettering to hard. The fronts I use a Maguires head light restoration kit with the sanding pad and the buffer. Follow the instructions and it works pretty good. Just take your time. The plastic cleaner in the kit does a good job on the small light lenses. There is a cluster restoration thread in this section that shows doing a 64 to 66 cluster but it gives good info on paints and colors for the rest of the job.
