im soon gonna be in the process of taking 2 trucks and making 1 out of them. ones a 63' stepside and the other as of right now im not sure of the year. but tomorrow i'll know the year if the vin plate is still on it, perhaps you guys will visit this thread and identify the year for me before i take a ride to look at it, heres the 2 trucks im soon gonna have in my yard. im paying $450.oo each for them. so ill have a investment of $900.oo one to drive and one for a parts truck, this one im not sure of the year.. thats not me in the pic. but my son in law helping me machete the weeds away from it.. it has the apache emblem on the fender ..i was told it is a 60' and this one is the 63' its got good glass. a rebuildable stepside bed. and looks real good on the inside. it was at one time a city truck.. still has the marking of a city truck on the door, ..well one the next post i'll put the pic's of the 63' Last edited by chicken; 11-13-2015 at 07:42 PM. |

Re: hello from florida [ the dirty redneck south ]
heres the 63'
.. both trucks have no frame rust which is good. but i'll have to wait and see which one is more mechanically sound to figure which one i work on.. and which one will be the parts truck,, well do you guys think it's a good deal both of them for $900.oo ??? most of the missing parts are in the bed... and a few are missing all toghter. like the left side inner fender well. but i got a cataloug with it in there, [ oh yeah i also got a lot of catalougs coming for these trucks ] im not a new truck type of guy.. but to buy one of these in good shape... cost a small fortune and im not a rich man. so i got to build my dream truck,,,, but once i put it on the road. i'll never get rid of it, my life long passion was to own a old classic. and in a few months that will be a reality |

Re: hello from florida [ the dirty redneck south ]
a little about me.
im a truck driver been one since 91' right now i work for a major fertilizer company in north florida. delivering to big farms. thus where i first run across the 60'? it was a old farm truck that got parked, the farmer said he winterized it, and it ran when he parked it, i grow my own personal tobaccoo usually about 400 plants a year, and generally keep something in my garden all year round... im in the process of restoring a old 1974 troy-bilt horse tiller. it runs and tills but im re-painitng it and eventually will get the new decals for it .. and this is what it looks like now, .. ..actually it looks better than that now, but i dont have no rescent pics.. i repainted over that dull paint with some rustoleum '' sunshine red '' and it really shines, |
