gm exhaust manifolds

Which manifolds work better for the 67-72 pickups with a 5.3? The tbss or the ctsv?

Re: gm exhaust manifolds

The TBSS is the universal manifold for these things. CTSV's depend on which year the car was since its progressed through motors.

Re: gm exhaust manifolds

I used a set of 2010 Camaro manifolds. I used the DD sliders and 73+ mounts because I took everything out of my 87 Monte Carlo that was totaled. I slide the engine all the way back. There is plenty of room around the manifolds and I was able to keep the exhaust up in the frame rails instead of having to let it hang below.

Re: gm exhaust manifolds

I have a set of the CTSV manifolds that a friend gave me..Otherwise I would probably be going with the FBody ones also.

It looks like the 2 bolt flange of the Caddy might fit well in there.

Re: gm exhaust manifolds

Another one who used 2010 Camaro manifolds here. The way they exit downward and the two bolt flange make them pretty easy to use on our trucks. Did have to do a bit of brake line re-routing.
