What did you do WITH your truck today?
With the huge popularity of the 'what did you do to' thread I was feeling a little left out as mostly I have been doing stuff with Woody rather than stuff too Woody (narf narf)
So... As it is Christmas time I thought I would start a 'What did you do WITH' thread and see how we get along. Not the best picture, nor the biggest tree but went and collected 'The Tree' with Princess Lulu much to the merriment of the gentlemen dressed up in Elf costumes at the Tree shop. My mother tells me I am making memories. My wife says I am making our children weird. I would say they are both correct, mission accomplished my work here is done. P. |

Yes, good idea.
I did nothing With my truck today because it's tore down for upgrades.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
Well today I used Woody to do what his name suggests... Collecting wood ahead of the biblical snow storms that the weather men have been warning us about for the past month.
Has to use 'Little Woody' as the ground is so soft from the rain. Found out the hardway what happens when you drive a fully loaded C10 across grass... Thankfully my friend the farmer was on hand to pull us out ( no pictures as too busy driving and swearing) Anyway, another full load. Now you know why progress has stalled, Woody is being used as a truck!. So, what did you do with your truck today? P. |

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
Good idea for a thread, I didn't do anything special. I had a bunch of bids to do so i drove it to the office and the hardware store for battery. I found this remote for the stereo when I removed the old flooring. New battery and it works. My wife asked why I need a remote and I really couldn't come up with a good reason until I had it. My 3/4 ton is a bit bouncy so adjusting the volume or changing the station with any accuracy can be difficult. The remote is much easier, plus now I don't have to reach ALL the way to the radio

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
Was beginning to think I was the only one who actually used their truck t=rather than having it a constant state of build!
Nice T & R on the bench, looks killer. P. |

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
Thanks for the compliment Paul. I like my bench as well. I like your '66, with all it's patina, especially doing what Chevy built 'em for, working!

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
Hey Paul Y, I guess no one uses their trucks? We took a trailer full of yard waste to the local transfer station. I should have taken a pic loaded, eh whatever. Got a few lookers and one of the workers really liked it, apparently he has a 67. Oh, and caught a father and his two sons checking it out at the hardware store. They all gave the thumbs up as my daughter and I climbed in and fired it up, that never gets old!

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
Cool idea for a thread! I'm kinda the same way. I hate to post things I did with the old truck in a thread meant for projects. I'll post up pics of the next outings. I have pics of the last ones, but they're old news lol.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
Yesterday I drove it around in the snow. Lotta fun. Headlights, windshield wipers, and heater all going. No problems.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
My truck is officially off the road and in storage for the winter .. If I was not in so much of a rush I would have showed how tight it was putting it in my 40' shipping container...

Drove out to the beach with the dog. Too bad the tide was to high for him to go play ball on the beach.

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
Firstly a very Merry Christmas to you all.
Glad to see that this thread seems to have attracted a few more posters, was in danger of becoming 'see what wood Paul has in his truck today...' Anyway, back to the thread. One of my friends has fallen on 'hard times' so loaded Woody up with...Wood... and took a trip around the M25 to drop it off, along with home made Mince Pies, crackers and a small festive basket of goodies to make his day slightly more acceptable. Probably bored of pictures of wood but I don't care, it is my thread! (that may or may not be the right picture but you get the idea) Woody showing off his new smile courtesy of Grizz. Then took a detour to collect some Dexion shelving that was being thrown out so that I can finally start to get some order into my rather messy garage, Grizz would have a fit! Took the faithful hound and had a very enjoyable 200+mile round trip. No drama, no problems and old Woody performed admirably. Look forward to the next update when there will be some different colour wood in Woody. P. |

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
My poor 283 has been laboring with a 2.76 rear end for too long. Today, I took a maiden voyage with the 3.07 that I replaced it with. Wow, pulling hills or cruising flats the motor was always in its sweet spot. A curl of the toes on the throttle and she felt like a spry and spirited rig again!

Re: What did you do WITH your truck today?
Cool to see some more posts here! Sheetrock, moving and firewood, definitely what Chevy had in mind for these trucks. My daughter got me the barefoot gas & high/low beam foot pedals for Christmas, so we put those on and went to coffee, grocery & feed store. I could be wrong but the 350 felt a little more peppy than usual, I think that pedal may have added a little more horsepower...
