71 c10 another front coil spring setup
Right now I have 1 inch drop springs and Summit racing cheapo shocks. I am planning on switching those out and working on getting better weight transfer. I mostly cruise the street but when I race it my 60 foot times are terrible. My front suspension is stock except for 2.5 inch drop spindles and 1 inch lowering springs. My rear suspension is lowered 5 inches with Summit racing shocks, shock relocators, and an adjustable tracking bar.
I have been stalking Super73's thread and reading other threads. I weighed my front using 4 corner truck scales and got approximately 1300lbs front left, 1075lbs front right, 800 back left, and slightly over 700 back right. The weights are with me sitting in it. Not sure why such a big difference between front weights. Using Super73's weights for everything but wheels and tires for unsprung weight I get 332lbs. My wheels are tires are heavy at 49.5 pounds each. I come up with 1931 pounds figuring in the leverage ratio. My current compressed spring height is about 10.5 inches. I would like to stay around that height. With Moroso trick springs I get a compressed height of 10.4 with 47180, 9.33 with 47140, 10.28 with 47195. Would I be better off going with 47180 and 47195 which would be about the same height I have now or would I get better transfer with 47140 and a 1 inch spacer? I am also planning on a set of QA1 single adjustable shocks up front. What do you guys think?

Your weights are very similar to mine when I first put my truck together at a total of 3900lbs. Your a pinch heavier on the nose as mine was 59.xx% to your 61.2%.
I was happy with the ride height at a compressed spring height of 9.25" and the 41740 gave me that. But if your desired ride height puts you at a compressed spring height of 10.5" the 47140 won't work with out a spacer which you mentioned, or even using a weight jack like the roundy round cars do. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Front-...Jack,3386.html I caution you though, at +17.5" that 47140 is already tough to get in to place with out A) compressing it, B) dropping the LCA at the cross shaft and putting it back in with a jack. It did not got me a warm fuzzy feeling doing that with all that stored energy there. The 47140 at that weight had so much stored energy that the Comp 3way front shock I had could not control the front rise and I had to go to a better shock as extension was too fast and topping out the travel. 47180 is a 212lb spring from what Moroso is publishing on their web page. 47140 is 240lb 47195 is 250lb With out doing the math, the 47180 would have to be quite a bit longer than the 47140 just to achieve the 9.25" compressed height that I once had let alone a 10.5" height you desire. Knowing what it will be like to get it in, I would shy away! Now, the 47195... If it gets you near your desired height, go for it! I bet it will have enough stored energy to make you go WOW what a difference!! Make sure you use a good shock that has enough travel! I ended up making an upper shock mount that sticks above the frame for a longer shock as I could not find one that would fit both desired compressed height and full upper travel limit. Couple other things to think about in order to maximize front travel: *Remove or cut down the bump stop in the bottom of the upper control arm. *If the tip of the upper control arm hits the spindle which mine did, unbolt the upper ball joint and mount it on the bottom side of the UCA vs the top like it is stock. This gave me >1" of additional travel.

I think I will go with the 47195 spring then. When I get the spring I will re measure and order new front shocks then. QA1 single adjustable shocks should be good enough to control it right? My truck will only be in the mid 12's on motor and high 11's with 150 shot.
Do you guys think I should do anything different at that level for the front or rear?

Mid 12's on motor should go mid-low 11's on the 150 hit.
What do you have in the rear now?

I only went high 13's the couple times I went last year but I am swapping out the top end for more cfm and adding an inductions solutions kit for this year.
In the back are the stock truck arms, 5 inch lowering springs, adjustable track arm bar, shock relocators, and Summit brand shocks. 12 bolt with Moser axles and 4.10 gears. From what I have read that should be good unless you guys think different. I have no idea what the pinion angle is now but that is on my winter project list.
