Change the pick up tube O-ring?

I have a 6.0 with less than 100K miles on it and I was wondering if now would be a good time to drop the pan and change the pick up tube O-ring. I will be cleaning and painting it soon and if I were going to do it, now would be the time. This is my first LS and I know that the O-rings have problems, I just wanted someone with more LS knowledge to chime in. Or maybe there is something else I needed to look at before I painted the motor.

I would only change the o ring if you were swapping oil pans and pick up tube. If you don't need to change the pan, then leave it alone.

Thanks! That's exactly what I needed to know.
Now I gotta figure out the best way to clean and paint this thing. I've never had great results from a rattle can LOL
