ARRRG! Just a --little-- adjustment... snap!

Almost 100% done my truck. Went to align the passenger dash vent, it looked a little crooked. Snap! Bust the retention clip off the side of it. Hopefully I don't have to pull the glovebox yet again to R&R the thing, but I might.

So, tonight I got to prep/prime/clean-gun/paint/clean-gun/clear/clean-gun, you know, all the steps. Someone should invent some kind of pressurized can that has paint in it that you spray and then just throw the can away when you're done.

Ah well. This is the life we chose.

Nope, I'm a complete paint noob. Or I was until this build - I did all of my own interior stuff, engine stuff, and so on. But I'm not ready to start painting panels or anything fancy yet.

Here's the vent I just did. This is a repro from LMC that starts out way-too-shiny black plastic, so I lightly sandblast them to add some texture (and give the paint some bite).

I think you might be able to yank the vent duct out far enough to shove the vent back on it. I've done it a few times, but I have enough duct to get my fingers around. Plus you might be able to fashion a metal clip and save some painting.
