Hub question

Hi Folks.
Does anyone know if 1/2 ton locking hubs are the same as 3/4 ton hubs. I have have a 1972 3/4 ton pickup with a dana 44 axel 8 lugs. Just want to know if the hubs from a 1/2 ton truck are the same and can I use them on my truck. Thanks in advance for any help.

no they are completely different , the 3/4 has 3/8 allen bolts and is much larger , the 1/2 ton has small 3/16 allen screws holding it , both are identified by the blue hub dials
