Transmission Cooler Lines
Do the factory trans cooler lines on a 67-72 line up with the 4l60e? Trying to decide what to do about trans cooler lines and the factory ones would be the easiest/cheapest option for me.

Re: Transmission Cooler Lines
It's pretty dang close. I don't remember what year it started but GM went to a quick connect fitting on the 4L60e.
Someone else can comment on whether or not the threaded connectors can be fitted.

Re: Transmission Cooler Lines
I've never used the stock 72 lines, mine have always been in bad shape, but I do know that you can take out the quick connects and put the double flare fittings in in place of them. Then if the lines are close you should be able to tweak them some and make them work.

Re: Transmission Cooler Lines
Thanks. I have a new set of lines from awhile back when I had planned to do an auto conversion on my truck. Now I'm doing the 5.3/4l60e instead of the 350/350 I had planned on. I was debating on selling the lines if I had to and recouping as much of my $50 as I could if I couldn't use the lines, but I don't think there would be anyway to build a set of lines with hardline or braided line with $50 of materials/time.
