3/4 Ton vs 1 Ton U Bolt Mounting
Hey,
I am picking up U Bolts for my 1 Ton and noticed that Chevy/GM went with a u-bolt reversal on the 3/4 ton. Is there any particular reason for the differences? Thanks.

Re: 3/4 Ton vs 1 Ton U Bolt Mounting
On the 1 tons (or in my C&C case) the top u bolt plates won't fit with the drums so close to the springs. Going downward with the u shaped bracket it'll work. All others have a gap so they can use Normal u bolt plates.

Re: 3/4 Ton vs 1 Ton U Bolt Mounting
Thanks @74CustomK20 and @chengny. In the '65 I am running a Cab and Chassis 14FF so I have noticed how little clearance there is between the backing plates and the leaf springs.

Speaking of U bolts, any suggestions on where to buy them? Mine's a C20.

I picked mine up this morning at A1 Springs over in Oakland. Liked the guys and they ran $18.50 a piece.
