Seat options for 65

What are some good seat options for a 65 c10. Have the original bench but it needs a lot of attention. Was thinking buckets or a 60/40 with console. What fits without modification.

I am also running 99+ Silverado seats (these are from a 04) they get you shoulder belts as well. As it was said pretty much bolts right in.

Pic's look good. Did you have to do anything besides drill some holes? I picked some up out of 06 to put in my 66 but I'm still working on my floor. I was told there was some mods required to the folding consul/seat to get them in. How is the space in relation to the steering wheel?

I decided for a cleaner look to cut off the leading edge of the front mounts of the center console (about 1"). Then I extended the rear edge of the same mount the same amount and drilled new holes. In my truck this allows for the center to be folded up for use as a seat without hitting the rear of the cab. I have also removed my gas tank from the cab so I may push the outside two seats further back. Before I started my rebuild I had similar seat without a fold-down center in there I had no modifications to it just drilled matching holes in the floor. It cleared everything including the factory gas tank. I am using a steering column from a 72 pushed as far forward as possible. My 6'1" 225# self fits comfortably.

I made backup plates that fit the underside of the floor where the seats are bolted in. Other than that, the seat tracks only required a little clearancing at the back to allow them to slide all the way back without hitting the rise in the cab floor. Easy peasy. Seating position is good. Using the stock wheel on a '71 non-tilt auto column slid forward ~1".

Where does the support for the shoulder belt come from? Do the belts need to go through a loop mounted to the back of the cab up high by the shoulder?

I had a 40/20/40 split with power lumbar and heat made for my 61 they had frames for 65 supposedly a direct fit but requires modification for 61 , they are absolutely gorgeous .... Bomber jacket leather
I think I'm going to have to change gears I'm 6'4 with arthritis and it's pretty tight for me but my buddy who is 5'9 fits great and loves it

I put ProCar low back bucket seats in my truck. They are small, easy to install, and never seem to wear at all. They can be purchased at Amazon or Summit now:

If you look at the seat in post #7 you can see them at the top of the seat. They are built right into the seat. I think that's why they're so popular. That's a big part of the reason I went with them.

Yes I did, that's what made me ask. Normally shoulder belt loops are bolted to the pillar post and then go through the seat. What keeps the seat from folding up on you in an accident. I guess if there was a heavy duty steel frame in the seat it may stop you but I've just never seen one that wasn't bolted to the pillar.

The seat frames are quite beefy. Pull the covers off and you'll see.

I hear you, must be the internal frame of the seat. I'm not sure when they started doing it like that. I think my brothers old 2000 was this way also. The other reason I went with this style of seat was I had the same seat in my 06 crew cab and I liked the seat. Put in some long days driving in that truck.

After my first long drive in my '65 last weekend I find myself very interesting in this. My current seat, with its early 90's vintage cover, isn't the most comfortable seat I've ever sat in.



Better seatbelts and the center console would also be nice additions. My truck isn't a restoration, so I don't care about originality. Since these seat frames seem to be hard to come by, perhaps selling this seat will offset the cost of something newer.
