700 r4 stagger
Have a 1984 K-10 Scottsdale bought recently. Today she decides to buck around 45. In OD and out of it.
I could put her in neutral, rev it up and put it back in and be fine, but could not go over 40-45 without it talking to me. I have my TV cable set up right and it has fluid. Surged up and down a little tach wise. Having terrible thoughts. Any advice? Thanks, '70GMCStep |

Re: 700 r4 stagger
I got my 85 c1500 in September and it would buck off the line unless I babied it. After a couple months I lost it completely and had it rebuild. Not sure what cut loose in mine but I lost all gears, forward and reverse.

Re: 700 r4 stagger
My buddy's Jimmy was doing this when he got it, along with sometimes wanting to slam back down to first when you came to a stop. He didn't have much money to throw at it, so I removed the lower trans cooler line, had him bump it till I had gotten a quart or so out, and then put a bottle of Lucas Transmission Fix in. 17 bucks and an hour later and we couldn't get it to replicate the issues it was having before. Not a permanent solution by any means, but he drove on it two years that way before the tired 350 gave up the ghost.
