Amber Parking Lights, not the bulb but the lense cover
Does anyone know where I can get amber parking lights for an 86 C10? Not the bulb but the actual lense cover. I want the parking light behind the grill, in the bumper and on the side of the fender to all have an amber lense cover so it is amber even when the lights are not illuminated.
So far I can only find the side markers in amber. Not my truck although the lamp setup is identical. |

Could try painting them or see if a local plastic shop can make you new lenses for it.

Thanks. I'll just look into tinting them amber. Not sure if there's even a plastic shop local to me. Didn't know there were even shops that would do that so I'm not sure where to even begin looking.

Hey, that's my truck.
To the best of my knowledge, the parking lens does not come in Amber. On mine, I just used Amber bulbs in the clear lens lights, the ones in the bumper & the parking lights behind the grill. |

Thanks for the help though. I'll just look into painting with an amber tinted spray paint. |

Thanks for the kind words and good luck with your build. Post pics of the lights, I like to see how they turn out.

You can paint them using either Tamiya clear orange (TS-73) . A few coats of that will get you close. You can also get it from Model master and Testors. Just sand it with high grit paper to give it some tooth. Then clean with alcohol and remove residue. A couple of coats later. Looks just like new. Good luck.
