A833 MM7 4x4 trans setup

I have a A833 or MM7 4 speed overdrive manual transmission for a 4x4 i’m selling. As you all know this trans was used from 81-87 in 2wd and 4wd gm trucks as an option. There are a few threads on this type of transmission. This would be a great swap into any 4wd chevy and have that overdrive that is always desired! Trans was removed from a running driving truck that was parted out. I was told the mileage was around 125k cannot verify. The trans does run through the gears just fine, input and output shafts roll and shifts well. This is a cast iron trans/adapter with the 6 bolt pattern. Born with the standard np208. A guy i talked to said he ran a newer 85-91 round pattern np205 off his. I have a few of these t-cases but haven’t tried this myself. As is, I don’t have the shift ball or the np208. The 208 is a easy find tho. Was also told this is a direct swap (length of trans, etc.) as a th350. Sorry, not gonna spend the hours it takes to clean and paint it. The last couple i sold i did and they were going to paint it another color anyway, so not worth the hassle.

1987 transmission. (Last year)
Complete shifter and linkages specific to the A833 only. (shift rods look beefier than the 2wd ones i had)
Hydraulic clutch bell housing specific to the A833.

This is the 3rd A833 I’ve had in the last few months that i’ll be selling. I have one more set up i’m keeping for myself. The last one i sold on Ebay ( for more than i’m listing this for ) and really don’t want to go through the fees and hassle of shipping again. I can possibly arrange a delivery as i travel quite a bit picking up muscle cars and parts. I just delivered the last one to a guy in Cincinnati. If need too be I can store for a while securely as long as its paid for. If it don’t sell here i’ll put on Ebay and deal with the crud. lol. Thanks everyone.

*Please, if you can’t afford it, think its overpriced, know of one for 100.00 or have any other negative comments, keep them off this thread. Much appreciated!

Re: A833 MM7 4x4 trans setup

bump for the weekend

had a couple pm's regarding trades. I really don't want to trade for anything drivetrain related at this moment. I'm trying to thin my parts down as it is.

The only thing i might trade for is any NOS sheetmetal or parts for a 76 K20 Crew Cab i'm restoring. Tach dash ( mine was stolen ) or other 76' related items.

Thanks again for in inquiries......
