Pretty sure my TH350 has a 200r4 TV cable
When I bought my truck I noticed the kickdown cable was not hooked up. I didn't give it much thought as I was putting a new carb on it anyhow. So I'm in the process of getting it all hooked up, and noticed that the cable is actually a 200r4 TV cable. Is this a common mod? Will it still work, as long as I have it adjusted to WOT?
It's no big deal I can just buy the proper cable, but if I don't have to, I'd obviously rather not. I'm also wondering why this was done, but if the rest of the 'work' I've found on this truck is any indication, I'm sure it's because that's what was laying around and available. |

What make you think it is a 2004R cable? That cable will not fit most TH350 transmissions.

The end looks exactly like every pic of a 200r4 TV cable I have seen. It does not have the rectangular slotted end piece that attaches to the throttle linkage, it is the plastic button-cover type thing.

You need the correct stud on your carb not a different cable. And make sure you have the right cable bracket for the carb and intake you are using.
