stepside back up lights
Hi. Does anyone know if an NOS backup light kit for a stepside 55 to 59 c10 would be appropriate for a 1961? I assume they should fit the fenders nicely, as they should be the same fenders? Are the lenses different? Or the wiring? Any help appreciated, I am having a hard time telling what back up lights for a 1961 stepside should look like.

Re: stepside back up lights
These are the Backup Lamps for 60-66. They were the same for Chevy Fleetside, GMC Wideside, Panels, Suburbans, and Stepside boxes.
They came on 1954 Buick as well. They also used these on P series GM vans into the seventies. So next time your in a junkyard and see an old Bread or Milk truck, take a look.

Yah, no kidding. That's just for 1 light, yikes. Although it is awfully shiny. The piece I am having a hard time with is the rubber mounting pad to fit to the stepside fender. Appears to be rare.

Re: stepside back up lights
The Stepside fenders in 1966 were stamped with a flat surface for the backup lamps, thus eliminating the tapered rubber wedges.
