Firewall Master Cylinder Bracket Question
Is the original bracket under the dash spot welded to the dash around the steering column mount?
I have been fighting with it and can't see any reason why it won't separate. I even cut the bracket apart with a small cut off wheel and removed the pics that were spot welded to the firewall, so i am only dealing with the dash/steering column area. It is to the point I am considering cutting the bracket away and leaving the piece that is attached to the dash. |

Re: Firewall Master Cylinder Bracket Question
It is spot welded in three areas
1. Against firewall 2. Top area looking up where the wipers go through 3. Two or three spot welds where steering wheel mounts

Re: Firewall Master Cylinder Bracket Question
Thank You. Was not aware of the steering column spot welds. I could see one and thought there were others but wasn't sure. Appreciated.

Re: Firewall Master Cylinder Bracket Question
Someone must posted about using a 70's to 80's Jeep bracket with just a few cuts- I think it was on the "What have you done with your truck" thread?
