Im not getting any power to my dash lights. i had power to one a while ago, it turned on and there was only one, so i replaced all of them. I want to start trouble shooting but im not sure where to start and what is involved. im pretty sure no fuses are gone, unless one went between the time. But any help in trouble shooting would be great.

Also, its an 85 gmc k10

How about the heater/AC control panel? Does that have backlighting?

Recheck the fuse labeled INST LPS - top fuse 2nd column from the right (while looking forward).

Do you have a meter or test probe? If not, consider getting one.

I never checked the top fuses, just the ones i could see without breaking my back. turns out the one had a Car fuse in it (Newer style mini fuses)

I changed that fuse and that was problem. couldnt read what fuse it was but im guessing that inst lps fuse. thanks for the help though. cant believe it was that easy..

Is the headlight switch grounded?
Is the headlight switch knob turned all the way to the right?

It was the fuse mentioned above. Thanks though. I may not be the smartest out there but the headlight switch was fully counterclockwise when i originally installed the lights

LoL This happen more then you thing to people, that do not know the years, or some time they or some one turn switch knob on them. And they start checking all kind of stuff with out staring to check the easy stuff first go down the line.
