Crossmember swap with manual steering
Hey all, looking to get sixfo lower without bagging it. I've realized I need drop spindles, which also means disc brakes. I'm wondering if it would be better to do the complete crossmember swap for a later model or just get drop spindles for the stock suspension. I want to keep manual steering. It seems like everyone goes power steering with the crossmember swap.
Also, what would be the easiest way to bring the back down the additional 2.5"-3" to keep it level. I'm currently running TJ coils and 2" blocks. I know I'll have to modify the frame to clear the arms, relocate the upper spring mounts and change the track bar. Do I need to flip the front mounts for the arms?

Re: Crossmember swap with manual steering
So what is in the front now and how low is the truck? Pic would be good. And how much lower do you want to go?

Re: Crossmember swap with manual steering
1.5 coils cut in front, TJ springs and 2 inch blocks in the rear
I'd like to get down a couple more inches.

Re: Crossmember swap with manual steering
That far down I would look into notching the crossmember. Getting two more inches down I think will put you a arms very close to the ground.
