Note that this is a return system used on my 2000 LQ4 donor motor.

Also note that the first 3' of the fuel lines from the fuel rail are original from the donor vehicle.

Re: Completed LSx swap fuel system

Beautiful and complete work you did there. this will be saving a lot of people some headache.

but I must ask.

Where are you getting these prices?

I have not been able to find these items at these prices. with the exception of the fuel tank(s) everything else is 50% to 100% more.

I am to the point where the fuel system is next. I am putting new gaskets on the engine and it will be ready to drop in. I am anxious to get it running.

any info on where to acquire said parts other than the one site you already mentioned would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Completed LSx swap fuel system

Ok i take that back.

the fuel pumps and sending units are the parts that seem to be the differently priced parts.

Sorry

best i could find was the sending unit at 73$ shipped and the fuel pump for 54$ shipped.

This is my extreme budget build. thanks again for the info.

-Izzy

::EDIT:: I never thought to look at amazon for car parts. never crossed my mind. woops.

Re: Completed LSx swap fuel system

Thanks dude!

Apparently this old guy needs to learn to ebay search a 'lil better.

I swear I did ebay search and the fuel pump auction didn't come up. The sending unit food but the 14$ shipping charge was a put off. Maybe since I am doing dual tanks I can get a break on shipping.

Re: Completed LSx swap fuel system

If anyone needs a fuel injected sender for a stock 16 gallon tank, I have a brand new one that I am no longer going to use!

Re: Completed LSx swap fuel system

I'm not sure about your pump? Even the stock pumps are barely adequate past a stock set up. You may see good psi idling, but going down the road under a load is a different story. If nothing else at least run a 10 gauge hot wire with relay. I know you will get a lot of people who may say I'm full of it. But it is the exact reason my lq4 was going lean running a stock ls1 pump with a small cam.
