53 Cab Removal
Ok, so I made a 2x4 setup like seen here and mounted on my engine hoist. Trying to jack/raise cab off of frame. I removed the rear shackles. I removed the front two nuts under frame on front cab mounts.
My question is, are the front bolts threaded into the frame from the top also? I thought removing bottom nuts I could lift it up, but with nuts removed it seems like something is grabbing. The passenger side top bolt is so rounded and rusted would be a bi--- to remove. Any help here?

Re: 53 Cab Removal
Front bolts are not threaded into the cab. Prob just stuck on there.

Re: 53 Cab Removal
Yes, thanks Sim..
When I tried jacking my cab with the 2x4 setup I made, it was tilting forward. I could not free it up. I put a secondary bolt halfway thru the nut, then screwed the nut onto the bolt, and using the bolt like a punch with a few shots with the mini sledge on each side I freed them. Cab is now swinging in the breeze!

Hey, your hand looks like mine. I'm left handed and every time I pick up a hammer my right hand tries to hide.
