Shortbed/longbed??

Did the shortbeds on our body style trucks have the side markers in the back? I've been window shopping on Craigslist and found a bed from a "late 70s truck" but I know it's gotta be 69-72. I can't tell from the picture if it's a short bed or longbed. I need a whole new tailgate for my truck and I might as well get the shorty bed since it's so cheap. Let me know if it's long or short or what's going on

Hopefully the pictures show up, I'm posting from my phone. there is a side view and a rear view of the bed, I am tell it's from our body style from either picture

.....that looks like a long bed to me.
Why not just contact the seller and ask?

Re: Shortbed/longbed??

Based on the door frame, the cab might be an 88-98 (maybe even 99-07!)... the bed is definitely a 67-72... somebody really need a bed for that truck and which one didn't matter!

If it really is an 88-98... not many longbeds were built for those years... it *could* be a shotbed, but you'd have to contact the seller (but it does appear rather long in the pics...) The tailgate looks really beat up. The area below the taillights has also taken a smack on both sides too. I'd want to see the rest of the bed before you get too excited.

Re: Shortbed/longbed??

Our year trucks all have side markers (68-72)except 67. The easiest way to tell a fleed sidevshort bed from a factory long bed is to see if it has stake pockets above the wheel houses. No stake pockets=short bed. With stake pockets =long bed. This one is a long bed. See the stake pockets above the wheel houses?

Re: Shortbed/longbed??

68-72 long bed.

in my area, that would be pretty cheap for a complete bed
