DETAILS! - Mirrors, Seats & A/C, oh my!???
Long time lurker, newbie poster. In the process of RENOMODDING my '70 2WD Burb into a 4WD 2nd Gen Cummins.
#1) I'm looking for alternative seats for my '70 C10 BURB - I'd like 2nd row seats that fold down forward, making room for a bed, sheets of plywood or drywall. What am I keeping an eye out for? Suburban seats? What years? #2) Mirrors - The small stock ones vibrate too much. Suggestions? #3) A/C - No stock A/C on the Dodge or the Chevy. What's your best idea? The kids need to be comfy in the second row. PHOTOS APPRECIATED!!! Gracias!

1. 1973 up Suburban folding benches are the best I've seen.
2. 4 point trailer mirror is the most study I've used. Not stock, just functional. 3. Chances of getting one of these old burbs to cool down like a new burb? Not very good. I grew up in the second row of my 1968 Suburban in SoCal with no A/C, and your kids will sweat a lot and be uncomfortable period. It's a matter of getting use to it, or not...

You may just need new heads for existing mirrors or tighten them up. Personally I love the look of the original mirrors. I do use a "U-haul" style strap on mirror when i tow my TT. As far as AC goes, everyone has an opinion here. There are probably half a dozen aftermarket companies that would be glad to sell you a kit. Some prefer a stock setup to utilize factory heat and defrost. Do a search on this site and you will come up with all kinds of info!
