Dirving Fog Flood lights on stock bumper
I was searching for a thread recently, looking for pics of lights on stock bumpers. I have box of various lights. I put on a 15 year old pair of PIAA 520s I used to have on a Reunel bumper. The 520s are decent on amp draw.
Anyhow, as long as I made swiss cheese out of my front bumper for the winch and clevis mounts... what the heck, two more holes for driving lights. I also had the harness with relay. I hooked switch to bright light power. If your like me you like pictures, here!

THAT IS A COOL TRUCK!! Do you happen to have pictures of what you had to cut out to make the front bumper work for your clevises and winch?

-Step bar. -Installed grab handles on pillars and above doors. -Upgraded axles to 1 tons off a 1985 cucv (d60 corp 14 combo) with 4.56 gears. -Full rewire with AAW -15 inch steering wheel -redhead steering -4" lift using ORD shackle flip in rear. -Rebuilt Hickey Enterprises worm gear winch. -Wheels are Procomp 17" rims with 285/70Rs (33") And a whole crap load of things I probably can't think of right now. I just posted the winch rebuild in the 4X4 forum a couple weeks ago, and I also posted the axle swap in the 4X4 forum you can search under axle swap and probably find it.

Re: Dirving Fog Flood lights on stock bumper
I like the looks of it. I would like to see pics of the winch so I know what I'm hunting for.

Re: Dirving Fog Flood lights on stock bumper
Thanks El Dorado,
And it still gets worked, I had a half skip of sand(wet) and a pallet of split pavers in it the other day, pretty heavy load. I've been thinking of going 383, but every time I have the truck loaded down I have to ask myself why. Even with the tired 350, the trans and gear set does it's job! I felt the load but did not lack power or ability to stop. I may just get me a HO 350 long block and save some bucks.

Re: Dirving Fog Flood lights on stock bumper
Now you've given me another decision to make Jeff. Those lights really fill out the front end, looks very cool. I have a pair of these Lucas lamps from the Hickey catalog and since I haven't bought a push bar yet, I tried mounting them to existing holes on the underside of my bumper but they just didn't look right. As for new holes in the top of the bumper... hmmm, not sure about that, guess I'll decide after a push bar comes my way.
I just got mine out of the garage and the first ride up the street a few days ago after 7+ years. Didn't have the $$ at the time to jump to a 383 and all along kept thinking I wish I had, but now that I've driven her I know I didn't need it... plenty of power. So unless you have other reasons for doing it, you might be content with just a rebuild... but then again, I've never driven a 383!
