Window rebuild kit?
I'm on the fence between going to a one piece glass conversion (I've read that the Brothers kit isn't great, and that some fab is required to get this right) and rebuilding the windows with vent glass in place.
Does anyone sell a quality kit to do the complete job for EITHER one piece or with vents? I'm likely to farm the job out and I want to give the body shop a box with everything they'll need, minimizing the time waste in finding parts or figuring things out.

Re: Window rebuild kit?
I too would like to hear some discussion on this one. Currently building a 53 LS powered 5 window. Would prefer the one piece glass. I know the doors can be swapped but the older doors are hard to find.would like to hear a response from someone who has used one of the available kits. Thanks Don

Re: Window rebuild kit?
Yes I am installing one piece glass you can look on my page to see what I am doing. However all my instructions on what to do come from the following links with video, very helpful stuff. Take a look.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=366078&page=4 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=366078&page=3 Yeah you are right Brothers and the other window kits all seem to leave a lot to be desired. I even have a friend that warns passengers not to roll the window all the way down. Others complain the windows rattle. Watch the video it solves the problem. If you look on my page you will see I am doing just what they tell you to do.

Re: Window rebuild kit?
Here's some feedback on another company offering a complete kit to convert from vent window to single window. I did this with my 53 and I really like the final results - I think the look is more clean and a better match for the goals of my build.
I ended up not being thrilled with the kit from A&H Classic Truck Glass. But first, Some positive comments. I received all necessary parts and they arrived quickly and packaged well. The instructions were ok - not "pretty" but got the job done. And the company itself was very responsive to phone calls and emails. But I wish I hadn't had to call or email them at all. For starters, I am on my second set of window regulators in both doors. Both of the original kit regulators failed with broken gears. They were (are) sorta junky and I'm kinda just waiting for when the replacements fail. Now, this may just be an issue with repop regulators - I'm sure this company doesn't make them in house and they get them from the same place that Brothers, LMC, etc get them from. The really big issue for me was that unfortunately the window glass they sent me were not the correct shape. They were very close and fit great almost the entire way around but the upper back corner of the glass (towards the rear of the truck) had a shape that was far too round to fit correctly up into the corner. There was no way to adjust this issue and it actually left an open air gap that could stick small screwdriver through even with the window rolled all the way up. I made the command decision to just get a local glass shop to cut new and correct glass rather than go back to the vendor. I think the vendor would have helped me somehow, but I was out of time and patience for that. On the plus side, the truck looks great with the combo of one-piece windows and push-button door handles!
