6.0 LSX twin turbo 72 c10
I am starting a build on a truck I've had since I was 14 years old, I would love to hear ur opinions and ideas are welcomed. The first pic is how it was when I tore it down for this build.

Cool so far! Any plans to paint the frame, or leaving it bare? Just asking, I don't know your goals.

Re: 6.0 LSX twin turbo 72 c10
Looks like the start of a nice build! Im planning on running those headers on my truck once i put a 4.8 or 5.3 in it. Have you put the master cylinder and booster (if youre running one) on it to see if it clears or not?

Re: 6.0 LSX twin turbo 72 c10
Looks like you're well underway.
Turbos are too much fun. Drive like stock, absolutely brutal power on the boost. I've posted this before, but I'll say it again. Everyone is quick to spend money on the short block/engine when really the keys are: - Fuel system - Engine management (I'm not a fan of the stock pcm for boost) - Tq converter - Trans You've got a great start with the ptc converter and TH400. It's gonna be a mean machine once you get it going!

Re: 6.0 LSX twin turbo 72 c10
Yes I will be cleaning and painting the frame but for mock up and what I may need to weld I want to wait til the cab and bed are at paint for all of that.
As for the brake booster I haven't got that far yet but will b looking into that. Last edited by GRN72; 04-25-2016 at 12:19 PM. Reason: Add |

Subscribed. I love this site. Great build and fab work. I'm planning on a single turbo 4.8/ th400 / gear vendor set up for the truck I'm bringing back from a frame off. Great inspiration and heavymetl your info is helping me do it right.

Re: 6.0 LSX twin turbo 72 c10
It all looks cool but what are your plans for beefing up the frame that was designed for 1/3 the horsepower you'll end up with ?

This is my kind of build! Who makes/where'd you get the intercooler and initial thoughts on it? Planning a twin setup myself and that intercooler configuration makes the most sense.

I do plan on boxing and dimple dying the frame and may even do a kid plate setup on it.
As for the inter cooler it is a treadstone intercooler from eBay and it is the 3.5 thick one with the 3.5 outlet upgrade. Seems to b pretty nice I sure hope it works out, well c. Posted via Mobile Device |
