59 gmc 336 cu in 389 block oil dip stick needed

Good day,

My dad has a few trucks and he just broke the end of the dipstick off on this one. Its the pontiac 336 engin, 389 block. Would I be lucky enough to find someone on here that has an extra one so that I could help the old guy out?

heres a pic of his truck. Despite the long box, its a pretty cool/rare truck. Original V8 hydramatic, with factory power steering and power brakes... chrome package and big window.

hopefully someone can help out with the dipstick.

Thanks.

If you post a picture of it with the length to the stop washer and the length of the handle I'm sure some one would have it, I can't imagine GM made a separate dip stick for each type of engine.

I have found that on some trucks the oil and auto trans sticks are longer to compensate for higher fender height.

you should be able to use a re-pop dipstick for a GTO, available from the usual vendors.
