63-66 C10 and C20 leaf springs same size
Hey all,
Looking to order a drop set for my rear leaf springs. Came across this: https://www.performanceonline.com/19...ront-and-Rear/ It's for a 63-72 C10, but my question is are the leafs used for the C20 the same length? I know they're the same width as what is in there now, but not sure on the length. Mine currently appear to be about 52", but that end to end, not eye to eye. Any thoughts on if these would work? |

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Guess I need to know the right way to measure these if someone can't verify that the C10/C20 lengths are the same.

the link that you have goes to anti sway bars.
are you talking rear leaf springs for a GMC. springs are built for a weight capacity and usually 1/2 and 3/4 t are different. there are optional gvws within the classifications also ron |

Whoops:
https://www.performanceonline.com/19...ring-Set-Rear/ Yeah, I imagine the C20 springs were stiffer and could carry more load, but I'm less concerned with that since it's not going to be hauling anything in the bed other than an appliance or something from time to time. More concerned with the physical dimensions and whether the C10 sprints would physically fit. I suppose worse case I could drill out the rivets of the leaf perches and move them, but seems like a pain if it can be avoided. |

You talking about the diameter of the bolts that go through the spring eyes?

spring pins, shackle pins and bushings. some would call them bolts.
I imagine that they are rubber on 2 wheel drive ron |

I measured the springs on my '66 GMC 1000 frame. They are 52" long and 2.25" wide with 9 leafs.

Okay, mine are 2.25" wide and I think they're 52" long. From what I know they were either 52" or 56". I don't imagine they had like a 52.5 or something like that. When I measure end to end I get 52", but when I measure eye to eye it's a little less than that.
