1995 4l60e the BA$TR3D child

Ok so here's the back story just finished the ls swap on my shortbed 72

Specs
01 5.3
95 4l60e 2wd
Trans mounted lokar floor shifter

I did all the work my self cut down truck harness and I've put about 300 miles on the truck it seams to do great fires right up and I havnt had not a single problem until now mostly ben driving around town but took about a hour drive on the highway and I noticed my tq isn't locking up....so I rechecked my tcc switch wiring..using a brake plunger /barrel style from a late 80s c10 with cruise it has 4 prongs instead of 2...everythijg checks out my brake lights are working properly and so is the power being cut to the tcc. I keep reading about a 95 4l60 not having a pwm and later years do...my question. Is can I fix this issue with the trans I have or will I have to get another trans? Other than the torque not locking up my trans is in great shape and shifts perfect. But with the torque not locking in 4th gear I'm afraid I'll tear up my trans and I don't want to stop driving my truck so any and all help is appreciated thanks!

Re: 1995 4l60e the BA$TR3D child

What is this 1995 4L60E out of?? If it is out of a Pick-up/SUV/Van....It will not have a TCC PWM Solenoid & would be a reason for no TCC Apply. Even if it is a '95 Passenger Car 4L60E, It will have a PWM 3-2 shift solenoid where you need a (On/Off) type 3-2 shift solenoid, Running a PWM 3-2 with your PCM will eventually burn the 3-4 clutches down.

As far as I know......No (Segment) exist to run a '93/'94/'95 4L60E with a Gen III PCM.

To fix this correctly, Swap a '96-'08 4L60E Valve Body, Harness, & Separator plate over to your transmission, I have done this on several Impala SS/Caprice/Roadmaster/Fleetwood with LS engines swapped in, Works great!
It's a couple hour job, I will be glad to walk you through it. I also have a '03 Corvette/HP AC-Delco reman Valve Body in the box for cheap if you need one, I will throw in a good '98-'02 F-Body plate & gaskets. PM me if interested.

Re: 1995 4l60e the BA$TR3D child

The transmission came from a 95 2wd gmc sierra with a 350 tbi in front of it. And I'll send you a pm now thanks for the help!
