Frame to Cab measurements
Hi all,
Currently my Frame and Cab are separated like divorcing parents. Can anyone help me out with some Frame to Cab floor measurements? Hopefully from a truck with NEW body bushings? This would be in the area of the transmission cross member and need to be from the top of the Frame Rail to the bottom of the Cab Floor. I am starting to run my new fuel lines and need to know if there is enough room between the Catalytic Converter shield and the floor. Thanks, Jay

Re: Frame to Cab measurements
May or may not be what your wanting..my bushing aren't new but between my cab and frame is about a 1/2"..I can't stick my finger in the gap..my truck only has 26, 000 verified miles on it and my bushings look to be in good shape..just keep everything below the top of the frame and you won't have any problems

Re: Frame to Cab measurements
I stripped this truck for the drivetrain and front crossmember. Is this the heat shield you mean? It was close to the floor. I couldn't have got a box end on the bolts for the heat shield. Again not new mounts but they were in fairly good shape.

Re: Frame to Cab measurements
The wire you see across the top of the shield is an added 2 wire that went to some big switched lights on the back bumper
