Re: another Truck

Does that come with the fuel trailer? That would be a fun toy if I had the time and money to do it.

Another movie with a tanker is "White Heat" 1949. Cody Jarrett (James Cagney) and gang do a Trojan Horse inside a tanker to rob a chemical plant payroll.

Re: another Truck

If I was closer I would be all over this truck, just because it looks cool.

Re: another Truck

That truck would make a nice parade rig for an oil company. Or be a great rig to take to the historical truck meets.

Re: another Truck

Boy howdy some of you guys must be richer than uall get out to question why a guy didn't put out the cash for something.
I'm just a little over an hour from either of those trucks but don't have the spare change to get either one nor do I have a spot to put one of them.

Well said

.
In my opinion if your in the need for a truck.
Both of those are a good price
.

I Think if your doing one Truck.....
Buying two at these prices is a win..win.
Take the best of two make one and help the rest of us by selling the parts you don't need.

If you have the Cash/Space/Time
.
Most of the time I have two of the three
then there's times I'm out of all three.

as a counterpoint maybe you hadnt considered, I wouldnt bother going to look at trucks I couldnt afford and waste the sellers time if I wasnt in the market.

Re: another Truck

I was just reflecting on the "assume" part. Also he did state that after he looked at the truck it wasn't what he wanted and I don't believe the price was the issue.

Assuming that a guy should buy a truck just because it is available even though it doesn't fit his particular needs is wrong. Also not all of us are flippers who buy up every available truck in the attempt to fill our pockets with the profit we make off them.

Just be thankful that he showed two trucks in pretty decent shape for reasonable prices that are available as I believe that was his intent.

I think maybe you missed what I was saying. your comment was that "everyone must be richer than uall", and that you didnt have the spare change or the space. I followed up your point by saying you probably wouldn't ever put yourself in the position to pass, by not wasting the sellers time looking at something you couldnt afford.

he can look at as many trucks as needs to get what he wants. just because i or others would buy the whole thing and part it doesnt mean he would, could, or should.

Re: another Truck

I dont think that these trucks were as great of a deal as others may think.I have 2 truck project going right now,my 54 is all most done and my 58 that is ready for paint.I can't afford to keep them all.the 54 or the 58 one has to go,then I can find another project. I also build Harley Davidsons

Re: another Truck

The cool factor is way up there on that one.

You can probably get $1500 in scrap from the trailer.

Cabs from commercial trucks seem to fair better than our low to the ground pickups. The Cab is probably worth the $1500 too.

Re: another Truck

Just to add my stupid two cents....
They say in management that you can get anything done as long as you have enough money, manpower and time...
I find that is true when talking about anything!
