Blazer Door Cap Repro
I think I have a way of reproducing the plastic door caps. If there are enough people who want them, I will try to make a set. This will be a low volume deal but I will try to make as many as I could. Just guaging interest here. I couldn't even guess on price. I will have to see how much the stuff to make them will cost.

i'd be interested if the price is reasonable! What are you going to make them out of? Will they be black or paintable?

Don't have a price as of yet. Have to see if I can do it. Also, still have to see what materials cost and time to make and all of that.
They will be made from toolable resin much like the originals. More than likely, they will be off white but paintable. Also, the resin of today is highly UV resistant and should withstand 425 degrees F!

More Blazer parts!
The aftermarket is strange, in my experience those caps are rarely intact if even there at all, I hope you can make it work! It's great to see Blazer/Jimmy specific parts available. I'm glad my rocker boxes are good!

Count me in! I have a set put one is cracked a little bit. When the time comes I was going to make some out of sheet metal. Even though I'm not using my top, I rather have the caps to cover the cut in the doors.

My originals were molded in white, then painted black.
They are actually in very nice condition. |

Chad,
I too can make them up, we have plastic press's that I could run them in, shot them out of a nylon with 10%glass, but I would need a mold made up...I was thinking of making a mold but not sure what guys would pay for them, if you can get like $15.00 a set could you sell them, or would guys say thats too much...

If you try to find a used pair of these they go for about 45 bucks a pair! I think $15 would be a more than great price! I think guys would pay $25-$30 for a good new pair. I sure would. These would be a sure fit because they will be as good as or even better than the originals right?
