Power rear window adjustment

New to me blazer. Rear window was not working, tore it down and the cable was seized and had to replace the regulator rollers. window now works but its out of alignment see picture. It not centered going into the cap. Window is too far to the front of the truck. I have adjusted the end tracks as far as they will go. The gate closes and opens very nice and is in perfect alignment with the rear quarters. How do I adjust the window and or regulator?

Re: Power rear window adjustment

Replacing the window crank and lock mechanism is about as deep as I've been into the tailgate but it looks like the track has to be off kilter.

Re: Power rear window adjustment

the track really does nothing until the window is 1/2 way up. I tried shimming the regulator to change the approach angle but that didn't work, enless i shim it 1/2". If I dont shut the gate all the way the window goes up fine then once up I push the gate to lock but thats less than ideal.

Re: Power rear window adjustment

I think you can adjust the lower part of the window channel so that the glass angles into the top better.

Open the tailgate and the bolts are on the side of the tailgate. You'll need to loosen the bolt on the side of the tailgate about 1/2 a turn and then move it towards the front of the vehicle direction if the tailgate were in the "upright position". Do both sides.

Re: Power rear window adjustment

I also assume you tried adjusting the top bolt in opposite direction. You might be able to adjust the top of tailgate guide on each side (shown in your picture). Use a Phillips head and see if there is any adjustments.

Just can't remember, it's been awhile since I've been back there.

Hows the felt in the window channels? If they are gone, that will make the window wander too and not stay centered.

Re: Power rear window adjustment

Maybe its not the window. Is it possible that your top needs to be adjusted slightly forward ? I know mine can be a pita to get back on and tight to the seal. Usually have help pushing it for word when I put it back on or I run into the same problem. Just an 1/8 or a quarter forward can make all the difference.
