Medium Rear Window?
So, Since I cant go out and play... No clutch!
I was talking to the guys at the shop about a Medium not Big Back window. Low and behold Summit delivers a ford with a Medium window. So I laided it out how I would do this modification. Here is a paint chop. So if you just cut out a small window for a big window I would like a good inner and outer. But will be on the hunt as not to cut a good cab.

Re: Medium Rear Window?
It would be a cool look. If it could be done with out changing the inner panel that would be a good option for lots of folks.

Re: Medium Rear Window?
I plan on stretching to line of site, not behind head. 3 or 4" each side. Kinda like 50s ford truck small window.

Re: Medium Rear Window?
I kind of like it and like the idea of something different. I like the blue truck image and how the window corners match the truck body lines that surround it.

Re: Medium Rear Window?
When I laid it out unknown to me the actual glass size is exactly the 67 size. It is one of those you would double take mods. If you didn't know c10s you would think it was stock. Kinda like the 3" longer wheel base

Re: Medium Rear Window?
Yes, it's an older thread. But the guy that started it posted on it yesterday.
I'd say it's still a current/valid one.

I agree with SCOTI. Even though a thread hasn't been posted on in awhile, if your reply is relevant to the thread, please post it to that thread. It also brings up information that some people might not have seen before

I think it would be cool. I'd like to see one done in real life.

Re: Medium Rear Window?
I'd have to dislike a small back window before considering this mod. Small window pickups are cool. Big window pickups are sexy. I think GM designs are the best.

Re: Medium Rear Window?
I'd like to see one done. I prefer the big glass personally but the 'medium' size has me curious.

Re: Medium Rear Window?
Mid 60's F100's have a "medium" sized window as standard and they look good. My gripe with the small window or a medium window is that Chevy styled and stamped the cab shape with a raised perimeter for the big window design, then the small window is inside that with another raised stamping around that window. It just looks strange to have the raised stamping and pinchweld for the big window and blank space between that and the small window. The back of the F100 cab looks better as a smaller window because it only has one stamping for the window. Small window '67 C10s are the same way, only has one design stamped in.
Maybe it's because I grew up in my dad's glass shop, but it reminds me of the cheaply made aftermarket conversion van windows that were slapped into a panel van body that has a recessed stamping in the shape of the window that would've been there, but the aftermarket window is a smaller generic shape.
