60-61 turn signal pic?
Anyone have a picture handy of the column mechanism of a 60-61 turn signal?
I have my parts on hand, but since the PO gutted it, I have no reference on how to assemble them |

This EBay listing has some photos and instructions bits to look at.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1960-61-Flee...xWIy1U&vxp=mtr I'll post up something more complete tomorrow.

Wow, awesome find! I printed that page. Anything else you can show would be great!

Re: 60-61 turn signal pic?
Do you need a switch pick at the lower part of the column or the upper part?

I need to see how the lever and canceling mechanism all work. I've got about 5 parts in a bag, and the springs and clips aren't obvious.

Re: 60-61 turn signal pic?
That's perfect, thanks! I got it all back together!
The only think I noticed that worries me is that, no matter how hard I tighten the screws that keep the turn signal mechanism in place, the outer collar still wiggles, and the steering wheel has some side to side play in it. Any idea what I might be missing? I replaced the upper column bearing already. B |

Re: 60-61 turn signal pic?
I've never had my column apart ,but looking at the EBay instructions,
is there a locking tab circular unit that goes on the bottom and did yours have that part? That's all I can guess at.

Re: 60-61 turn signal pic?
By "locking tab" do you mean the ring with 3 tabs on it just to the right of the label "cable?"
That's the ring to which the turn signal housing screws, and it holds it in place, but it rides in a couple of slots, which are NOT tight. When I compare this my '60 column, the rings are about as loose, but the turn signal housing fits more snugly. B |

Re: 60-61 turn signal pic?
Yes that's what I was referring to, but I don't have an answer.
Here's a few photos of the bottom of the housing just for reference. Hopefully someone whose had had one apart will chime in.
