Picked up some NOS parts today all 73-80 parts, Hood, 2 doors, 2 fenders, front bumper, lower grill panel, side marker lights and some other small random bolts and brackets that I'm not sure what they are. I think I got a great deal on all of it. Boxes are a little bruised up but the parts look great.

If that hood was correct for 1977 I'd give you your money back for the hood alone. Nice score.

73-78 no ridge acros the front leading edge. 79-80 have that ridge.

I'm pretty sure the 78 had the ridge also.

1979 is the first year for the ridge on the hood. I've owned many factory paint 78's and they do not have the ridge. There are slight year differences in the goods that do not have the ridge but they are on the bottom side.For example A 1973 hood will not work correctly on a 77 or so if the truck uses the factory inside hood release. Latch holes are wrong on earlier goods and won't accept the inside crelease hardware.

Looks like it does have the ridge on the hood. I will be listing these on ebay shortly as well as the parts board, I really have no use for them and It was sort of an impulse buy haha

Yep....I sold my NOS 79-80 hood recently-it had the bulge and is 79-80 specific.
