door weatherstrip

I have a 1984 Blazer and need new weatherstrip for the doors. What is the best made and where can I get/ order some? I want a good fit, snug and not coming off every time I look around, no glue needed! Thanks for any help!

Re: door weatherstrip

I asked the same question and got dozens of different answers. I came down to soft seal and Steele rubber. Haven't ordered yet, but leaning toward Steele rubber.

Re: door weatherstrip

I used GM weatherstripping for the doors, holding up great for almost 2 years now.

Re: door weatherstrip

Original GM parts here too. You can still get weatherstripping, just check out any online GM Parts place. And what you can't get, use Precision.

I got mine for my 82 a couple years ago from my local dealership . I would imagine it would still be available . I even got the window fuzzies as well from them . Cant beat oem on these.

Re: door weatherstrip

I went to the j-yard and took some weatherstripping of a newer GMC Safari van. It is the same pinch weld stuff that GM used on almost all trucks. It fit great no problems and cost me 5.00 for both doors on the 79. I can now spend that money on saved on outer door seal on window fuzzies.
