8 lug 18 or 20" wheels
I'm looking for some 18' or 20" wheels in a 8x6.5 bolt pattern. Everything I find has a closed center cap which wont work because of the hubs, or is black which I hate. Other than centerline is there anyone making a clean looking simple 18 or 20" wheel that works on these trucks? I wish Mickey Thompson made Classic III in a larger wheel. Thanks

What type truck you looking for? I found some billet specialties online for pretty reasonable dollar amount. I'm running 18x9.5 on my 03 Duramax. Been on there for 13 years. They are due for a good polish but for a daily driver they look great and is something different.

That's my dilemma too. Still not sure on 8 lugs or 1/2 ton suspension swap.

this is drving me nuts, I really want at least a 17" wheel but nothing is available 10" wide. Looks like I'm going to end up with MT III in 16"s, kinda boring.

Re: 8 lug 18 or 20" wheels
Well in that case yea you could swap out the suspension for 1/2 ton. But it would depend on if you see or could find any 8 lugs you like which would be a ton easier. Billet specialties or Budnik have some nice wheels depending on how much you want to spend on a set of wheels. KMC or some of those other wheel guys sell them for the older 8 lug trucks. I guess it just depends on what way you want to go with the truck.

Re: 8 lug 18 or 20" wheels
Plan is 6" lift 35-37" tires, definitely dont want to swap to 1/2 ton.

I guess it's single axle? So ifs 4x4 have you spent a lot of time looking for wheels? You looking for polished or black or combination of the two or what? Guess it depends if it will see a lot of off road use like heavy muddling? Got pics of the truck you are working on?
