235 valve guide seals
The little oil rings are not great for valve guide seals.
Anyone here know if there is a cup type seal that fits and works? |

Re: 235 valve guide seals
The stock rings are still good seals. If your having burning issues you might want to look into valve guide wear and or stem wear issues. If you want to install a positive modern seal type you will need the tops of the guides machined for the seal lip.

Re: 235 valve guide seals
My engine has about 4000 miles on a rebuild done 20 years ago. Still great compression and performance, just puffs on start up. I assume the seals are hard. Plan to replace them just checking to see if an improved seal was available
